RDJ New Year’s advertising

This advertising piece was developed in january of the present year for El Reino del Jade, one of the most renowned jewerly stores working with jade in the city of Antigua Guatemala. It was published on page no.25 of the monthly magazine called Qué Pasa in print and digital.

Pieza publicitaria desarrollada para El Reino del Jade en el mes de enero del presente año. Una de las joyerías más reconocidas por trabajar con jade en la ciudad de Antigua Guatemala.  Se publicó en la página no. 25 de la conocida revista mensual Qué Pasa de forma impresa y digital.

Feature at Concept Dezain

Again I find myself surfing on the web and found Concept Dezain, by the argentine graphic designer, Franco Averta.The site aims to communicate and share everything about design through articles, tutorials, resources, etc.

Last May 2010, Franco published a series of pieces dedicated to the king of reggae, Bob Marley. As part of the series, Franco included Bob Marley Tribute, an illustration I’ve made inspired by the author of “Sun is Shining”.

Nuevamente me encuentro navegando en la red y descubro el sitio Concept Dezain dirigido por Franco Averta, diseñador gráfico argentino. El sitio tiene por objetivo comunicar y compartir todo lo referente al diseño a través de artículos, tutoriales, recursos, etc.

El pasado mes de mayo del año 2010, Franco publicó una serie de piezas gráficas dedicadas al rey del reggae, Bob Marley. Como parte de la serie se incluyó la Bob Marley Tribute, una ilustración inspirada en el autor de “Sun is Shining”, misma que realicé en el año 2009.

Zona Narango

Zona Narango is a bimonthly publication that aims to promote culture in each of their pages through the exhibition of various media and visual expressions of art and design.

The latest issue of ZN was released earlier this month in wich they featured a sample of my portfolio (pages 20-25). The magazine also published other great guatemalan talents such as Carlos Chong , Luis Pinto, Juan Meza, Nery Arango and Juan Carlos RS.

Zona Narango es una publicación bimensual que tiene como objetivo difundir cultura en cada una de sus páginas a través de la exposición de diversos medios y expresiones de carácter visual y artístico.

El último número de ZN fue publicado el primero de éste mes en donde se expuso una muestra de mi portafolio (páginas 20-25). También se encuentran publicados otros grandes talentos guatemaltecos como Carlos Chong, Luis Pinto, Juan Meza, Nery Arango y Juan Carlos RS.

RDJ X-mas advertising

This advertising piece was developed for El Reino del Jade, one of the most renowned jewerly stores working with jade in the city of Antigua Guatemala. It was published on page no.25 of the monthly magazine called Que Pasa in print and digital.

For this piece I wanted to go beyond a simple advertising photography, so I decided to illustrate an abstraction of the classic Christmas tree made up of jade stones and jewelry recently arrived at the store. Also, i worked a Christmas atmosphere with a very organic touch to support the context of the recent holidays in the illustration.

Esta fue la pieza publicitaria desarrollada para El Reino del Jade, una de las joyerías más reconocidas por trabajar con jade en la ciudad de Antigua Guatemala. Se publicó en la página no. 25 de la conocida revista mensual Qué Pasa de forma impresa y digital.

Para dicha pieza quise ir más allá de la simple fotografía publicitaria, asi que decidi ilustrar una abstracción del clásico arbol navideño conformado por piedras de joyería y jade recién llegadas a la tienda. Así mismo, se trabajó un ambiente navideño y muy orgánico en la ilustración para apoyar el contexto de las recientes fiestas.

Capiusa Festival 2010

Se Prohíbe el Uso Ilegal o Inapropiado de ésta Muestra Gráfica.

Again I decided to collaborate for the annual competition of the Guatemalan design magazine Capiusa. The theme should represent some idea or utopian thought. Something that lives in our minds as a positive ideal that seems to be impossible. My proposal?, the King of the world. A giant panda in charge of directing the entire world population for the good care of our environment.

Nuevamente decidí colaborar para el concurso anual de la revista de diseño guatemalteca Capiusa. La temática a representar debía ser sobre alguna idea o pensamiento utópico. Algo que viviera en nuestras mentes como un ideal positivo que pareciera ser imposible. ¿Mi propuesta?, el rey del mundo. Un panda encargado de dirigir a toda la población mundial en pro del bienestar ambiental.

Based on the idea of positive emotions and vibrations from the rasta philosophy. It was published in the international online mag Revolution Art, in the 14th. edition called “I Believe”.

Basado en la idea de sensaciones y emociones positivas dentro de la filosofia rasta. Fue publicado en la revista online internacionalRevolution Art, en la 14va. edición llamada “I Believe”.
