This is a poster redesign about the college project I’ve made to commemorate the historic event about the rescue of the 33 trapped miners in Chile, after 69 days of underground life. This representation is a tribute to those men that with faith, courage and hope, flew in freedom and shouted with joy the 12th and 13th of october 2010.

Rediseño de afiche sobre el proyecto universitario que realicé para conmemorar el rescate de los 33 mineros atrapados en Chile, luego de 69 días de vida subterránea. Esta representación es un tributo para aquellos hombres que con fé, coraje y esperanza, volaron en libertad y gritaron de júbilo un 12 y 13 de octubre del 2010.

College project based on the second album of the guatemalan reggae band Iguanamanga. In this album called Imprevisto Camino, the band seeks to remain faithful to the basic principles of reggae, promoting positive themes such as freedom of speech, personal growing and human appreciation towards their natural environment. The main idea was the representation of music unified with the environment, rooted in the genre of reggae roots. En dicho álbum denominado Imprevisto Camino, la banda busca mantenerse fiel a los principios básicos del reggae, promoviendo temas positivos como la libertad de expresión, la superación personal y el aprecio del ser humano hacia su entorno natural. La idea principal consiste en la representación de la música unida con el medio ambiente, arraigándose a las raíces del género, el reggae roots. Capiusa Festival 2010

Again I decided to collaborate for the annual competition of the Guatemalan design magazine Capiusa. The theme should represent some idea or utopian thought. Something that lives in our minds as a positive ideal that seems to be impossible. My proposal?, the King of the world. A giant panda in charge of directing the entire world population for the good care of our environment.

Nuevamente decidí colaborar para el concurso anual de la revista de diseño guatemalteca Capiusa. La temática a representar debía ser sobre alguna idea o pensamiento utópico. Algo que viviera en nuestras mentes como un ideal positivo que pareciera ser imposible. ¿Mi propuesta?, el rey del mundo. Un panda encargado de dirigir a toda la población mundial en pro del bienestar ambiental.
